Mechanical backup wrenches
You place the mechanical restraint wrench on the lock nut, tighten the nut to be tightened with a torque wrench and then remove the mechanical restraint wrench from the lock nut very easily and safely. Because the tension is released mechanically, no hammer is needed. A half-turn of the on the nut on the mating wrench is enough to release the tension. The safety and speed of work will increase tremendously compared to an impact wrench. This is mainly because it takes more time to insert an impact wrench, run it on and knock it loose again.
While tightening, you can keep your hands away from both the counterholding wrench and the torque wrench so that they cannot become trapped.

Easy to secure
The Backup Wrench is easily “hooked” to the nut by a wing nut. This eliminates the need for an operator to keep their hands near the bolt while tightening the nut. Even when loosening your nuts, the Backup Wrench can never inadvertently release tension and fall off the nut. Simple but safe.

Lifting eye for added safety
Prevent damage or injury by securing the counterholding key using the lifting eyelet.
