HYTORC Washer – no reaction arm needed

The HYTORC Washer is the simplest upgrade for instant improvements in safety, speed and accuracy. This unique, patented system eliminates the need for reaction arms and other custom fixtures required to hold the tool in place. The HYTORC washer can even be used vertically and upside-down, for both ratchet links and socket wrenches

The HYTORC Washer complies with ISO7090, ISO4759, ANSI-B18.22.1 en DIN267. The use of Washers is recommended according to Guidelines ASME PCC-1-2013 and VDI2230.

Maximum Safety: no more pinch hazards

Hytorc Washer works with a dual nut drive. The outer nut drive bears on the knurled outer edge of the HYTORC Washer, while the inner nut drive turns the nut. This makes the classic reaction arm – the number one cause of finger entrapment – redundant. The elimination of external moving parts makes this the safest bolting method in the industry.

Accuracy: no more shear and bending forces

By eliminating the reaction arm, shear and bending forces are avoided, thereby resulting in a more consistent conversion of torque into bolt load. With the HYTORC Washer principle we guarantee accurate and evenly distributed bolt load across the flange. These are the main conditions for a strong and/or leak-proof flange joint.
